Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens is the largest privately owned tourist attraction in the Byron Shire, drawing nearly 100,000 visitors to the Byron region annually.
We are a high quality iconic attraction and Australia’s only dedicated visitor attraction where visitors can have a world-unique, immersive and ‘hands on’ experience of giant crystals in our 10 hectares of sub-tropical botanic gardens.

This is where you come in. As a Guest Sales team member, you play a crucial part in ensuring that guests enjoy a memorable visit from the moment they arrive. Your role involves engaging with visitors, sharing your knowledge about our awe inspiring crystals, and helping them navigate our stunning gardens and experiences. By creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing personalised recommendations, you contribute to an unforgettable experience that resonates long after they leave. The Role:
As a Guest Sales and Support team member, your position involves working across retail spaces, the Welcome Hut ticket booth, and facilitated experiences, all while contributing to a harmonious and safe environment.
You provide professional, friendly, and informative service in retail and guest experience areas. You assist in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintain high-quality guest experiences, handle all transactions accurately, and support the Crystal Castle team in creating a positive, engaging environment. You help to create a welcoming space for all guests, guiding them through the Crystal Castle's unique experiences.

Responsibilities:
In our Sales Team:
Provide professional sales service, present and describe products to guests in a friendly, informative manner.
Greet and interact with guests, observe and respond to their needs using effective sales techniques and strategies.
Accurately process sales transactions, using Roller and ensure correct end-of-day cash reconciliation.
Assist in handling stock check-ins, product pricing, and merchandising as directed by the Sales Manager or Sales Team Leader.
Maintain product displays, ensure cleanliness and stock replenishment, and manage price changes as required.
Respond to guest complaints professionally, resolving issues efficiently, or directing to the manager when necessary.
Ensure jewellery cabinets are locked for safety and theft prevention.
Maintain a clean and secure workplace at all times.
At our Guest Experiences:
Guide guests through daily experiences, providing exceptional service and support.
Offer aura photo interpretations for the guest and actively promote aura photography to enhance their experience.
Clean and maintain the aura camera area, ensuring cleanliness and adequate stock of film and paper.
Set up and pack down sound and experience equipment and props.
Welcome Hut:
Be welcoming. Create a positive first impression for guests, processing guest payments and record guest details accurately.
Serve as the first point of contact for all guest inquiries and transactions, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
Explain all necessary information to the guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
If there are any guest complaints, respond to them professionally, resolve the issues effectively, or direct to the Manager when necessary.
Maintain a clean and secure workplace at all times.
Accurately process sales transactions, using Roller software and manage the accurate end-of-day cash reconciliations.
Other Duties:
Ensure the station is well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., tissue paper, carry bags, till rolls).
Use quiet periods productively by restocking products, cleaning crystals or otherwise maintaining a clean, organised environment.
Stay proactive in theft prevention and follow all company procedures.
Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions.
Assist colleagues with larger or more complex sales if needed.
Answer phone calls professionally, transfer calls efficiently and handle guest inquiries with care and follow-up.
Our team is passionate, caring and hardworking. We need to see in you:
A happy and engaging salesperson with our guests, interacting with them on the sales floor.
Strong performance which is gauged on metrics like sales per person, weekly and monthly sales, Roller GX score (guest feedback).
Maintaining a high level of personal presentation, by adhering to the company dress code and wearing a name tag at all times.
As the successful applicant, you’ll have the following:
Demonstrated Sales/Retail experience of at least 3 years
Willingness to be part of a dynamic team and to work independently
Be customer-centric and actively create a good customer connection/experience
A positive and healthy attitude
Be well presented and tidy
Your own reliable transport and drivers licence
Flexible with availability and able to work holidays and weekends
Crystal knowledge is an advantage but not essential, as training is available

A casual position with varied and flexible work days and hours. The role varies from 2 to 4 days a week, and shifts range from 4 hours to 7 hours.
You must be available weekends and school holidays.
Your hourly rate is inclusive of casual loading, but excludes superannuation, and bonuses.
