Job Description: TU Campus Supervisor
Reports To: Residential Director
Status: Full-time (40+ hours per week), Salary, Exempt

Mission: Maintain a safe and functional campus through early intervention, programmatic structure, and effective staff performance.
The TU Campus Supervisor is responsible for all that happens on campus on their shift. They provide oversight to campus, respond to crises, seek opportunities to train staff on shift, manage logistics of campus (vehicles, rides, activities, cards), ensure staffing is always sufficient, and maintain systems. They work with the Residential Director to complete assigned administrative duties and delegated assignments.
Duties
Safety, Health, Medical
- Primarily responsible for the safety and supervision of students
- Generating and maintaining emotional safety - protects culture
- Assists with medication administration
- First responder to support teams or other crisis-situations
Tasks
- Working with the Residential Director for administrative and special assignments
- Completing accurate, timely documentation of staff logs, incident reports, communication logs, and as-needed documentation
- Following up on assigned tasks and timely return and report
- Approves each planned activity and assists Resident Advisors to run effective activities
- Coordinate transports for students as needed. Review visit contracts weekly
- Complete department responsibilities for new admits
Communication
- Supervising the campus and coordinating Resident Advisor efforts
- Coordinate and communicate to Resident Advisors any changes regarding scheduling as needed
- Building relationships and looking for ways to create teamwork
- Relaying information about previous shifts to current shifts
- Ensure the timely completion of required communications (“first-night” email, etc.)
- First responder to parent phone calls
Staff Management
- Complete new hire orientation training with assigned new employees
- Complete regular supervision meetings with individual staff members
- Facilitate regular department meetings
- Track Resident Advisor hours and promote the Wage Checklist progression
- Complete In-the-Moment Training sessions and Needs Improvement Plans with employees.
- Facilitate conflict resolutions among staff members or between staff members and students when needed
- Participate in staff resignations and terminations.
Training, Teaching, and Education
- Training Resident Advisors on shift to be more efficient in their approach, effective use of tools, better connect with the students, and implementation of the ten pillars philosophy
- Providing supervision to your team of Resident Advisors, including teaching and training them how to advance
- Completing certifications assigned, including but not limited to: first aid, CPR, food handler’s permit, tuberculosis test, restraint training, suicide prevention and infection control, and general / specialty competencies
Meetings
- Attending treatment team regularly and all other required meetings/conferences
- Facilitate regular department meetings
- Attend and contribute to leadership meetings as assigned
- Coordinate/maintain representation in student team meetings and student team calls
Tools, Interventions, Approaches, Systems, and Protocols
- Provide adequate behavior support and intervention in escalated situations
- Gain a knowledge of program details, protocols, and systems
- Assists with the resolution of conflict between students
- Carries out milieu-based interventions from the student plan
- Ability to maintain healthy/appropriate boundaries with our students.
- Ensuring that all Student Living practices are uniform across the campus
- Problem-solving unforeseen campus dilemmas

- Experience in the behavioral health field
- Significant crisis prevention and de-escalation experience
