RUBBER PRESS -LEVEL I ENTRY 1ST SHIFT at Apache Mills – Calhoun, Georgia

We are currently seeking for Rubber Press Entry Level 1 for our fast-paced manufacturing operations. This position is regularly scheduled for Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and may require overtime and weekends. There are immediate advancement opportunities for those with the desire, the initiative, and that perform above expectations.

This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description):

The Press Operator is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, quality and safety for materials and personnel assigned to the press. The Press operator must set up the machine when the product must be refilled or adjusted. The Press Operator must ensure greige goods, and molds to ensure that they are correct for the product scheduled. Ensure no malfunctions of the press while press is in operation. Adhere to Safety guidelines when performing LOTO. Ensure the mats are thoroughly “cooked” the rubber vulcanized before reloading the press. Including relieving each other for breaks..

Perform shift startups and end of shift duties as required.Learn HMI screen and ControlsAbility to spot and remove defective mats.Follow all Safety Guideline for LOTOMust follow Standard Operation Procedures and Process CardsTrouble shoot and make necessary adjustment as needed.Safely cut with a trimmer (wolf knife) to remove excess trim from the mat.Remove excess trim from around the mat Stack mats properly on to palletMust be vigilant and detailed orientatedFill out the production form and keep production totals accuratePerform housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance tasks requiring the use of hand tools Follow verbal and written instructions.Any other duties as deemed necessary by shift supervisor or leadAssisting team members in need of assistance.Follow all P.P.E and safety rules within the plant.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures.Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
