Our Location: Cutter & Buck is growing and opening a new fulfillment center in Grand Prairie, TX. The DFC will mirror our spectacular Seattle Fulfillment Center. Employees are the backbone of Cutter & Buck and we need a Maintenance Technician to join our team in opening and maintaining the DFC.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician provides maintenance for the Dallas Fulfillment Center (DFC) and works to ensure the facility is safe, clean, properly maintained as well as working on projects as lead by the Facility Manager. Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, develop and coordinate repair, maintenance and broke/fix projects onsite. Ensures the facility is constantly refreshed and updated to provide a stellar home for the C&B Family.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides routine facility maintenance and ad hoc maintenance on a daily basis.
  • Examples: changing lighting at various levels throughout building; interior painting and touchups, updating fixtures, fixing restroom equipment.
  • AutoStore maintenance to robots and other moving pieces of the inventory storage retrieval system.
  • Regular routine maintenance of machinery, facility areas and offices.
  • Executes facility improvement projects as directed by Facility Manager.
  • Works with vendors to provide onsite support as appropriate.
  • Maintain safe work practices and ensures safety measures are up-to-date. This includes relocating large items, establishing 5S layout in facility and educating employees to ensure compliance to safety measures.
  • Completes inspections on fire extinguishers, ladder safety inspections, PIT inspections (when using equipment). Compliance inspections when supporting Facility Manager or Safety Committee members.

Knowledge, Skills, Experiences and Abilities:

  • Ability to regularly lift and carry items and/or boxes over 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk for significant portions of the day throughout the 440, 0000 square foot facility.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English with high fluency.
  • Ability to communicate via email and text with leadership and vendors.
  • Accountability for work and high sense of urgency with a focus on quality.
  • Performs all work assignments with safety and compliance first in mind.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, WISHA and L&I standards for safety of employees.
  • Ability to work with warehouse management, inventory management and other office systems as required.
  • Ability to manage work assignments.
  • Self-motivated towards safety and compliance.
  • Highly skilled with mechanical and Power Industrial Trucks.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational certification.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience with facilities maintenance.
  • Must have clean driving record and ability to become PIT certified.
