Executive Vice President, Consulting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Executive Vice President, Consulting based in the United States.

This is a senior enterprise leadership role responsible for driving the full performance of a large, multi-geography consulting organization operating at significant scale. You will own end-to-end P&L accountability for a ~$500M+ global consulting business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, EBITDA expansion, and disciplined margin performance. The role requires balancing strategic enterprise leadership with hands-on operational rigor across diverse regions, service lines, and regulatory environments. You will lead the integration of acquired businesses, aligning them into a unified operating model while preserving client continuity and accelerating cross-market growth. Acting as a key partner to the COO and corporate leadership teams, you will shape operating plans, governance structures, and long-range strategy. This is a highly visible executive position with direct impact on enterprise performance, organizational transformation, and global growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Own full P&L responsibility for a $500M+ global Consulting division, including revenue growth, EBITDA performance, margin expansion, working capital, and cash flow management.
  • Lead annual operating planning, forecasting, and long-range financial strategy in partnership with executive leadership and Finance.
  • Drive operational excellence across global consulting operations, ensuring strong project governance, pricing discipline, and margin accountability.
  • Lead acquisition integration efforts, aligning systems, processes, culture, and performance standards across legacy and acquired businesses.
  • Establish and enforce standardized project delivery frameworks, financial controls, and governance models to ensure scalability and consistency.
  • Partner with Corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Safety, Marketing, and Sales) to align enterprise priorities and execution across the consulting segment.
  • Strengthen client relationships and drive strategic account growth, cross-selling, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Define organizational structure, talent strategy, and leadership development programs to build a high-performing global consulting team.
  • Oversee adoption of enterprise systems and ensure data integrity across platforms supporting financial and project performance management.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise operating models, including safety, compliance, and risk management standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental consulting, engineering services, or similar project-based industries.
  • Proven experience leading a $500M+ multi-geography business with full P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated success in driving EBITDA growth, margin expansion, and operational performance at scale.
  • Strong experience integrating acquisitions and building scalable, standardized operating platforms.
  • Deep understanding of project-based business economics, financial controls, and margin governance.
  • Experience operating in a publicly traded or similarly structured enterprise environment.
  • Strong ability to lead within a complex matrix organization and partner effectively with corporate shared services.
  • Exceptional executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop senior leaders and manage large, dispersed global teams.
  • Strong commitment to safety, integrity, and operational discipline.

  • Competitive executive compensation package with base salary range of $300,000–$400,000 USD.
