Teacher Assistant-Owen Head Start at Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative – Owenton, Kentucky

JOB TITLE: TEACHER ASSISTANT (Full Day Full Year and Center Based)

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Teacher, the Teacher Assistant will assist in managing the classroom, providing playground supervision of children, preparing materials for learning activities, participating with and guiding children in learning activities, providing safe and sanitary environments for children and working with parents/legal guardians in reference to planning for childrens needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/GED and Have a Preschool CDA credential (OR) are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or bachelors degree in child development or early childhood education. (OR) are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the date of hire.

COMPENSATION: $15.19 - $23.51 Based on Education and Experience. Starting wage being high school diploma and ending being BA degree in ECE with 10 years of experience.
