Position Overview:
We are seeking a Traveling Weight Room Installer / Fitness Equipment Installer to join our installation and assembly team. This hands-on role involves traveling to customer job sites to assemble, install, move, and secure commercial fitness and weight room equipment in schools, colleges, athletic facilities, corporate gyms, and commercial fitness centers nationwide and regionally.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in construction, installation, mechanical assembly, warehouse, or general labor environments. Candidates with experience as an installer, construction laborer, assembler, carpenter, or apprentice are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for motivated candidates with strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. We are urgently hiring reliable team players who enjoy travel, fitness equipment, and hands-on work.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and secure fitness and weight room equipment according to specifications
- Perform hands-on installation, assembly, and job site setup work
- Read and follow installation plans, diagrams, blueprints, and safety standards
- Support daily construction, installation, and site preparation operations
- Unload, move, stage, and organize equipment safely at customer job sites
- Measure and assess job sites for proper spacing, alignment, and equipment placement
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct post-installation inspections to verify safety, quality, and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic installation or assembly issues on-site
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, supervisors, and team members
- Travel frequently for regional and nationwide installations (up to 75%)
- Maintain accurate installation documentation, equipment lists, and project notes
- Assist with warehouse staging, loading, unloading, and preparation work as needed
- Support additional field installation and production duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in construction, installation, warehouse, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly preferred
- Previous experience as an installer, construction laborer, assembler, carpenter, or apprentice preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic installation equipment
- Ability to read layouts, diagrams, blueprints, or installation instructions
- Comfortable with frequent travel and working at customer job sites
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude on customer job sites
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and safety-focused mindset
- Willingness to learn — training provided for strong candidates
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid state-issued Driver's License
- Valid REAL ID
Physical Demands:
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
