This leadership role is responsible for driving the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of the accounts payable function within a fast-paced, global business environment. You will oversee end-to-end AP operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payment and invoice processes. The role involves leading and developing a high-performing team while continuously improving systems, workflows, and controls. You will play a key part in strengthening financial integrity through robust internal controls and SOX compliance. The position requires close collaboration with finance, operations, and audit teams to streamline processes and enhance performance. • Define and execute the overall strategy for the Accounts Payable function aligned with broader business and finance objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing AP team, fostering accountability, accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Oversee end-to-end AP operations including invoice processing, vendor payments, and dispute resolution.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Drive implementation and optimization of AP systems, ERP tools, and financial technologies.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and accounting standards.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely payments and effective resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and internal audit teams to streamline processes and address audit findings.
• Provide reporting, insights, and performance analysis on key AP metrics to support decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable operations with strong exposure to process improvement and system implementation.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience managing and developing finance or AP teams.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial accounting tools.
• Solid knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex AP and financial operational issues.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
