Position Summary

Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing and highly collaborative practice. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in our outpatient cardiac clinic and provide inpatient cardiology services at Winchester Medical Center, a regional referral hospital directly connected to our practice.

The position is a shareholder-track opportunity with primary coverage at our Winchester clinic and limited outreach (not to exceed one day per week) at our satellite clinic in Front Royal, VA.

You’ll be joining a collegial group of professionals in a physician-led, patient-focused environment with a shared call model at a single hospital – Winchester Medical Center – offering advanced cardiovascular care. Through a professional service arrangement, Winchester Cardiology provides its services, including cardiology reading and reporting, to Valley Health facilities.

This role offers the opportunity to practice in a modern 30,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with full diagnostic imaging, EPIC EMR, and direct access to a cardiovascular lab and inpatient services. Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation and ongoing management for patients in the outpatient cardiac clinic, delivering care consistent with the practice’s mission of clinical excellence and patient-centered service.
  • Manage a broad range of non-invasive cardiovascular conditions with a focus on high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Collaborate closely with advanced practice clinicians and other cardiologists within a large, collegial, physician-led group.
  • Participate in limited outreach clinic coverage (not to exceed one day per week) at the Front Royal satellite office.
  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultation and rounding services at Winchester Medical Center.
  • Participate in the shared cardiology call schedule, ensuring appropriate management of acute cardiovascular conditions and continuity of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the hospital care team, leveraging integrated EPIC EMR across outpatient and hospital settings.
  • Interpret and report non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and nuclear imaging.
  • Manage and prescribe cardiac medications for outpatient and inpatient patients.
  • Administer anesthetic and sedation medications for diagnostic testing, including TEEs, following established safety protocols.
  • Provide timely, accurate reading of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic studies as part of the professional service arrangement supporting Valley Health facilities.
  • Maintain excellent communication with patients, referring physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated cardiovascular care.
  • Participate in ongoing practice development, quality initiatives, and shared decision-making within the cardiovascular group.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, staying current with evolving evidence and standards in non-invasive cardiology.
  • Serve as a representative of Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine within the community and across Valley Health networks.

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology (ABIM)
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia and West Virginia
  • DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • 2-year associate position with path to partnership beginning in Year 3
  • Base compensation: $409,000 - $527,000
  • Productivity-based compensation with opportunities for:
