We are hiring a CNC Programmer with strong Lathe, VTL, and Milling experience to support high-precision aerospace manufacturing in Meriden, Connecticut—one of the region’s established centers for advanced machining and aerospace production.
This is a hands-on, shop-floor driven role where you will not only program, but also help develop manufacturing methods, fixtures, and processes from concept through production release.
What You’ll Do
Program CNC Lathe, Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL), and Milling machines using Mastercam
Develop machining methods, sequences, fixturing, and process plans for precision aerospace components
Use Siemens NX CAD to create setup sheets, operation sheets, and process documentation
Support production with hands-on troubleshooting, setup, and first article runs
Create detailed quotes for precision-machined components
Define inspection methods and collaborate with Quality on GD&T requirements
Establish routing data, labor standards, and manufacturing time estimates
Partner directly with production teams to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability
Support outside vendors with clear manufacturing instructions and process definitions
Manage multiple high-priority jobs in a fast-paced aerospace environment
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of CNC programming or equivalent manufacturing experience
Strong experience with VTL, lathe, and milling machine programming
Proficiency in Mastercam and Siemens NX
Strong understanding of GD&T and aerospace-level blueprint interpretation
Experience setting up and running first-piece approval on CNC machines
Background in precision machining, toolroom, or aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred
Ability to multitask and manage complex, high-mix production work
