Laundry Worker at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Laundry Worker to join our Hospital Laundry department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: provides a clean, safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors using prescribed methods in a professional, courteous manner.

A typical day includes: maintaining laundry and linens in an orderly and sanitary condition.

• Using proper procedures to sort, weigh, and record soiled linen.
• Operating dryers as per posted guidelines for dryer and cool-down cycles, emptying lint traps on an as-needed basis and at the end of the shift.
• Neatly folding all linen and clothing items.
• Stocking all areas and carts with the proper amount of linen as per cart loading list.

Job Requirements:

• Education: HS diploma preferred; though must be able to read and write in a comprehensive manner
• Experience: Institutional housekeeping helpful
• Skills: organization, able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking
• Licensure/Certification: N/A
• Physical: ability to work prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently.

The position is: Full Time/Days, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
