About This Position

Job Summary
In collaboration with the Assistant Administrator Quality Management and Infection Control (AAQM & IC), plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Quality Management Department. Fosters teamwork and integration of services and staff in the Quality Management Department. Facilitates growth and development of the department in response to the dynamic nature of the healthcare environment. Requires a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in the healthcare profession, and applies this knowledge and skills to the development of new methods and approaches using performance improvement principles. Ensures improvement opportunities are prioritized based on their occurrence and expected impact on patient outcomes.

19. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Work Experience
Five years in a Management/Supervisor capacity required. Strong healthcare environment with quality management related duties, to include Root Cause Analysis (RCA), case reviews, Joint Commission experience.

License/Registration/Certification
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or obtained within two years of being in the position.

Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
