Principal SAP Data Integration Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal SAP Data Integration Architect based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of enterprise data architecture, responsible for designing and optimizing large-scale SAP integration and data pipeline solutions that power analytics and business decision-making. You will work across SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms to build reliable, high-performance, and reusable data integration frameworks. The position plays a key role in enabling both real-time and batch data movement across complex global systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and data integrity. You will collaborate closely with SAP, data, and cloud architecture teams to define best practices and modern integration patterns. This is a highly technical and influential role requiring deep SAP expertise and strong architectural thinking. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP data integration solutions across SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and Snowflake environments.
  • Build and maintain SAP BODS ETL jobs and data pipelines supporting both SAP and non-SAP system integrations.
  • Develop and enhance CDS Views, ADSOs, and data virtualization layers to support enterprise analytics and reporting needs.
  • Design scalable data flows, extraction processes, and transformation logic to ensure high performance and data quality.
  • Collaborate with SAP and cloud architects to enable seamless real-time and batch data integration across enterprise platforms.
  • Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Support SAP migration initiatives, including ECC to S/4HANA transitions, mock loads, and cutover activities.
  • Define and document integration architecture standards, reusable components, and best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and quality checks across all integration workflows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BODS development and enterprise data integration.
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, CDS Views, BW/4HANA, and SLT replication tools.
  • Proven expertise in designing SAP data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Experience working with Snowflake or other modern cloud data platforms.
  • Background in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to performance optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and architecture teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
