HR Generalist – Manufacturing

What You’ll Do

The HR Generalist performs professional-level human resources duties across payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, reporting, and HRIS administration. This role is responsible for administering payroll processing and entries; insurance and 401(k) deductions, reconciliations, and invoice processing; maintaining personnel documentation; and processing all required hiring and employment forms. The HR Generalist ensures confidentiality of employee information and compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws.

Responsibilities (including other duties as assigned)

  • Provide HR support across recruiting, employee relations, policy development and implementation, and training initiatives
  • Manage all payroll-related processes, including timecard reporting, ERP journal entries, tax reporting, benefit deductions, W-2 changes, payroll enrollments, and terminations
  • Maintain ADP system records and generate reports as needed
  • Administer paid time off (PTO) accruals, including tracking, management, and employee communication
  • Establish andmaintainHR metrics and reports, including headcount and labor cost reporting
  • Maintain and help coordinate employee training records for both salaried staff and production employees
  • Manage and conduct new employee orientations, including HR policy and safety training

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Two to five years of experience in an HR Generalist role with ADP payroll processing in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills, including ADP, Outlook, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional, approachable attitude and strong follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
