Who We Are Looking For:

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a driven and accountable Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations in our Burlington production facility. In this critical role, you’ll ensure that our 24/7 metal production runs safely, efficiently, and at the cutting edge of innovation. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering the rare earth and critical metals that underpin the world’s transition to clean energy and advanced technology.

This role follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, working 3 days one week and 4 days the following week over night and receive night shift pay differential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a shift team to ensure consistent, high-quality metal production
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of high-temperature and chemical processing equipment
  • Drive safe practices and enforce compliance with all SOPs and safety protocols
  • Monitor production metrics and take immediate action to correct deviations
  • Conduct start-of-shift and end-of-shift meetings to align team performance and priorities
  • Train and support Operators in technical procedures and process understanding
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production data, incidents, and shift reports
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, escalating when necessary
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement improvements and reduce downtime
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing, metal, or chemical production environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, 24/7 operations
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accountability
  • Experience with shift scheduling and team coordination
  • Working knowledge of production metrics, downtime tracking, and root cause analysis
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude; familiarity with industrial controls is a plus
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends as needed
