This role sits within the closing and post-closing operations of a fast-paced mortgage lending environment, where accuracy and compliance directly impact the borrower experience. You will be responsible for preparing and finalizing Closing Disclosures that reflect the true costs of real estate transactions for both purchases and refinances. The position requires a strong focus on precision, ensuring all loan-related fees, taxes, insurance details, and investor requirements are correctly captured and validated. You will work closely with internal teams and systems to ensure documentation consistency and regulatory compliance throughout the closing process. Success in this role depends on strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time-sensitive deliverables in a high-volume environment. This is a remote opportunity aligned to PST hours, offering exposure to end-to-end mortgage closing operations within a modern fintech setting.
In this role, you will prepare and validate Closing Disclosures while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all loan closing documentation.
- Prepare Closing Disclosures using loan origination and closing systems in alignment with loan terms and regulatory requirements
- Verify property tax, insurance, and third-party fee information to ensure compliance with investor guidelines
- Review supporting documentation such as title reports and insurance forms for accuracy and consistency
- Ensure all fees, charges, and borrower cash-to-close calculations are correctly reflected on the Closing Disclosure
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure all required invoices are included in the final settlement
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing high volumes of closing documentation within strict deadlines
- Support compliance standards by ensuring adherence to underwriting and investor requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify documentation issues and ensure smooth closing execution
This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an understanding of mortgage closing processes in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or related field preferred
- Mortgage, loan processing, or real estate closing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in documentation review and data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities in deadline-driven environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Familiarity with mortgage loan origination or closing systems is a plus
