Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Engineer, AI-Native based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of product thinking, full-stack engineering, and applied AI, focused on building modern digital healthcare experiences that are simple, fast, and genuinely useful for patients. You will own features end-to-end, from understanding user problems through to shipping and iteration in production. The role emphasizes strong product judgment, deep technical ownership, and a bias toward action in ambiguous environments. You will work across frontend, backend, data, and AI systems to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences. A key part of the role is embedding AI into everyday product workflows to accelerate development and enhance product intelligence. This is a high-impact engineering position where attention to detail, ownership, and user empathy directly shape real-world healthcare outcomes.
- Own product problems end-to-end, translating ambiguous user needs into clear technical and product solutions through to production release.
- Design and build full-stack features across frontend, backend, data systems, and AI-powered integrations as needed.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, clinical, pharmacy, and operations teams to deliver cohesive and user-centered experiences.
- Develop and maintain AI-native product features that are reliable, performant, and intuitive to use.
- Improve system reliability through testing, observability, monitoring, and thoughtful architecture decisions.
- Continuously refine UX quality, including performance, accessibility, edge cases, copy, and failure states.
- Contribute to engineering excellence by mentoring peers and raising the overall technical and product bar.
- Take full ownership of shipped work and ensure continuous iteration based on user feedback and system insights.
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience operating at a senior or equivalent level.
- Strong experience across frontend, backend, and data-oriented systems, with a track record of shipping end-to-end product features.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and make strong product and technical decisions.
- Experience or strong interest in building AI-powered features, workflows, or systems.
- Solid understanding of software quality principles, including testing, performance, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs and product decisions clearly.
- Comfortable integrating AI tools into daily engineering workflows to improve speed and quality.
- Strong product intuition and a high level of ownership over shipped outcomes.
- Competitive compensation package including equity (stock options)
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Maternity and paternity leave policies
- 4 weeks of paid vacation
- Fully remote-first work environment across Canada
- High-impact work in a fast-growing digital healthcare organization
- Collaborative, product-driven engineering culture
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-enabled healthcare experiences.
