Administrative Assistant
Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
-
Performs a variety of administrative functions
Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation
Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations
Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports
May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget
Performs a variety of tasks
Works under general supervision
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field required
Knowledge of Laws or regulations regarding Privacy Act and Confidentiality
Working Conditions:

Must be able to maintain a sitting position
Typical equipment used in an Office job
