Agriculture & Compliance Expertise
5+ years in California agriculture operations with deep knowledge of: – CA agricultural employment law: Wage Order 14, piece-rate compliance, heat illness prevention (Cal/OSHA), meal/rest breaks, AB 1066 phase-in –
Labor contractor management: FLSA joint-employment liability, contractor licensing (Farm Labor Contractor License), payroll audits – Risk mitigation: Workers’ comp, sexual harassment prevention (SB 1343), pesticide handler safety
Leadership Across Tiers
Proven ability to lead large, multi-layered teams (direct span: 8–12 regional managers; indirect span: 2,000+ employees):

Crop Cycle Mastery
Full command of seasonal crop calendars for: – Tree crops: Dormancy pruning (Dec–Feb), thinning (Apr–May), harvest (Jun–Oct) – Row crops: Planting (Mar–Apr), cultivation (May–Jun), mechanical harvest (Aug–Sep) – Vine crops: Canopy management, veraison timing, multi-pick table grapes
Ability to forecast labor demand 3-6 months out and adjust crews, field supervisors, safety coordinators, and equipment accordingly
Pay Rate: $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience
