This leadership role sits at the center of quality excellence within a large-scale manufacturing environment, ensuring that products consistently meet stringent customer and regulatory standards. You will oversee the full Quality Management System (QMS) across rod, wire, and spring production operations, driving continuous improvement and operational consistency. The position plays a critical role in shaping product reliability, customer satisfaction, and process performance across multiple facilities. You will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, sales, and customer service teams to embed quality at every stage of production. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership in audits, compliance, and corrective actions. You will also act as a key driver of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement across manufacturing sites. This is a highly impactful position with visibility across leadership and direct influence on product quality worldwide.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Quality Management System (QMS) across rod, wire, and spring manufacturing operations.
- Define and ensure compliance with quality standards, testing methods, and audit requirements in collaboration with internal teams and customers.
- Oversee internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and management review processes to ensure system effectiveness.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and training initiatives.
- Monitor in-process quality control activities, ensuring adherence to specifications and immediate resolution of quality issues on the production floor.
- Develop and maintain quality reporting systems, including KPIs, trend analysis, and performance dashboards for leadership review.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations and customer satisfaction.
- Promote quality awareness across the organization and ensure consistent adherence to procedures, standards, and continuous improvement practices.
- Support training programs for plant personnel and contribute to capability development across quality-related functions.
- Manage compliance and authorization processes for product release, ensuring only conforming products reach customers.
- Travel regularly (minimum 50%) to support multi-site quality operations and audits.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing environments with a strong focus on quality management systems.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing QMS implementation, audits, and compliance in industrial or production settings.
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing customer quality requirements, complaint resolution, and cross-functional problem solving.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, quality standards, and production data to drive operational decisions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50% or more).
