Sponsor Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sponsor Project Manager based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical operations, project management, and technology enablement, supporting the transformation of how clinical trials are delivered and monitored. You will work closely with sponsors, CROs, and research sites to implement modern, data-driven workflows that improve trial quality, speed, and transparency. The position blends hands-on project execution with strategic program development, including helping sponsors adopt innovative site-centric trial models. You will coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless implementation of clinical technology platforms and processes. In addition, you will contribute to shaping delivery frameworks, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the expansion of advanced site selection and monitoring capabilities. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands clinical research operations and is motivated to modernize how trials are conducted globally.

Accountabilities

This role is responsible for managing clinical trial delivery programs, supporting sponsor implementations, and ensuring efficient execution of technology-enabled research workflows.

  • Lead and support clinical trial delivery programs, ensuring effective implementation of sponsor and CRO-facing workflows
  • Partner with sponsors to define project requirements, delivery plans, and operational strategies aligned with clinical trial objectives
  • Support and enhance site selection programs by leveraging performance data and site network insights
  • Act as a clinical project manager across multiple studies, ensuring timely delivery, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment
  • Guide clients through platform implementation, process optimization, and adoption of new clinical trial technologies
  • Manage project timelines, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (CROs, labs, EDC/eCOA providers) to ensure seamless execution
  • Support sales and marketing efforts through presentations, capability demonstrations, and industry engagement
  • Monitor project performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, scalability, and service offerings
Requirements

This role requires a clinical research professional with strong project management experience and a solid understanding of trial operations and regulatory frameworks.

  • 5+ years of clinical trial experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or clinical research organization
  • Experience in project management within clinical research environments
  • Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with eSource, EDC, or decentralized clinical trial systems is preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, site management, and sponsor workflows
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on execution mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; Google Suite and Looker experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
