This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical data engineering solutions that drive key business decisions. You will work with large, disparate datasets to create scalable pipelines, support analytical needs, and enable insights for finance, operations, and other business functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, partnering with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable intelligence. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to building reusable frameworks that improve efficiency and data quality. This position plays a critical role in ensuring clean, accurate, and timely data delivery to support business initiatives across multiple domains.
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
- Implement data integration, curation, and automation processes with metadata, quality checks, and auditing.
- Support cloud-based big data platforms and optimize pipelines to enable machine learning workloads and other analytical use cases.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Participate in code and design reviews, promote best practices, and mentor team members.
- Continuously improve reporting, analytics processes, and self-service capabilities for business users.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Advanced degree a plus.
- 3–5 years’ experience in data warehouse, data lake, or data engineering architecture.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or C#.
- Experience with Big Data tools and platforms, including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, or similar technologies.
- 2+ years’ experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Databricks, SQL, and data engineering pipelines.
- Familiarity with workflow and batch processing tools such as dbt, Airflow, or NiFi.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with technical and business teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong business acumen and customer-oriented mindset.
