RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Daily Operations Management
- Coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping.
- Ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to meet operational goals.
- Inventory Oversight
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to address stock shortages or avoid overstocking.

- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff to foster a productive work environment.
- Communicate daily objectives and address employee concerns promptly.
- Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and organize employee training to ensure a safe workplace.
- Analyze operational workflows and recommend strategies for increased efficiency.
- Support the warehouse manager in implementing and evaluating new operational strategies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory, team performance, and operational efficiency.
- Support audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, shipments, and employee schedules.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and streamline operations.
- Prepare clear and concise emails, memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate team meetings and ensure effective communication with vendors and management.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software effectively.
- Utilize tools like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting and task management.
- Coordinate schedules and shifts for staff to meet operational needs.
- Ensure deadlines are met for shipments, deliveries, and restocking activities.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Forecast inventory needs and resolve logistical challenges proactively.
- Monitor and manage expenses related to warehouse supplies and staffing.
- Assist in developing and adhering to budget plans.
- Address inquiries related to shipments, inventory, and order status.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve client concerns effectively.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and company regulations.
- Prepare documentation and maintain readiness for audits and inspections.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
