Engineering Manager - Sheraton Hotel

Join our dynamic team at Sheraton Hotel as an Engineering Manager, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction. We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong leadership skills to oversee all engineering operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and coordinate all maintenance activities within the hotel, including routine, preventative, and emergency repairs.

- Oversee the maintenance and houseperson staff, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and support to ensure high standards of service.

- Collaborate with management and staff to plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders, tasks, and special projects for the engineering team.

- Perform daily inspections of property grounds and work areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hotel standards.

- Ensure all safety equipment and conditions are compliant with local codes and regulations.

- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests, ensuring courteous service and timely resolution.

- Monitor and maintain all safety protocols, including proper safety equipment and procedures, to safeguard staff and guests.

- Manage budgets related to maintenance operations and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or a similar role.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance best practices.

- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or degrees are a plus.
