Member Relations Ag Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member Relations Ag Manager based in United States.

This role is focused on strengthening relationships across a national agricultural cooperative network by serving as a trusted advisor and strategic connector to member-owners. You will engage directly with cooperative leaders, including CEOs and board members, to understand their needs and translate them into meaningful programs, services, and engagement opportunities. The position plays a key role in shaping governance excellence, leadership development, and member value delivery across the system. You will also act as a bridge between member organizations and internal business, policy, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and shared success. This is a highly relationship-driven role requiring strong executive presence, consultative dialogue, and the ability to influence without formal authority. With significant exposure to agricultural leaders and policy stakeholders, the role directly contributes to the long-term strength and voice of the cooperative community.

Accountabilities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with cooperative CEOs, board chairs, and senior leaders to understand needs and deliver value-added engagement and services.
  • Design, facilitate, and support governance and leadership development programs, including topics such as succession planning, board effectiveness, equity management, and member engagement.
  • Plan and lead regional member engagement events, forums, and strategic discussions that strengthen collaboration across the cooperative system.
  • Partner with internal teams to share member insights and ensure programs, tools, and initiatives reflect member-owner needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate with commercial, talent, and retail growth teams to align initiatives and deliver integrated value to members.
  • Work closely with government relations teams to support member advocacy efforts and participation in agricultural policy discussions.
  • Support execution of stakeholder events, including policy roundtables and visits with public officials.
Requirements

This role requires extensive experience working with agricultural cooperatives or ag retail environments, along with strong relationship management and executive-level communication skills. Candidates should be confident influencing stakeholders, interpreting financial and operational concepts, and building trust with senior leaders in a consultative capacity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of experience engaging with cooperative leadership, farmers, or agricultural retail organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and discuss concepts such as patronage, equity, and cooperative financial structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven executive presence with strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience influencing without authority and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using CRM systems for relationship management and engagement tracking.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $123,900 to $185,880 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible well-being programs.
  • Education assistance and professional development opportunities.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • Employee wellness resources and development programs.
  • Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized, mission-driven agricultural cooperative network.
