This role is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned cloud and SAP DevOps professional to drive enterprise-scale SAP BTP solutions, automation, and cloud-native platform reliability. You will play a key role in designing, building, and operating modern SAP cloud applications while ensuring strong DevOps maturity across CI/CD, release management, and infrastructure operations. The position sits at the intersection of SAP engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with global engineering teams, architects, and product stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and highly available systems. The role also involves driving continuous improvement through AI-assisted development tools and modern automation frameworks. Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and operations of SAP BTP and cloud-based DevOps solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals. Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing SAP BTP solutions including CAP (Node.js) applications and HANA database operations
- Owning full lifecycle delivery of technical initiatives including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure
- Managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Piper libraries
- Driving cloud infrastructure operations across Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and SAP cloud environments
- Leading automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiency, system reliability, and operational excellence
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, QA, and product managers
- Ensuring strong governance across security, compliance, release management, and open-source practices
- Monitoring and improving DevOps performance metrics such as DORA indicators and deployment KPIs
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational guides, and best practice frameworks
The ideal candidate brings strong SAP BTP expertise combined with deep DevOps, cloud, and automation experience in enterprise environments.
- 5–8 years of experience in SAP BTP, cloud DevOps, or enterprise cloud engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CAP (Node.js), SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud Foundry
- Solid understanding of SAP BTP ecosystem tools such as Gardener, Converged Cloud, and Hyperspace
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and automation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and Linux-based cloud operations
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Groovy, and Shell
- Experience implementing DevOps best practices, DORA metrics, and release governance models
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools, AI agents, and automation platforms (preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments
