Janitorial Associate at amerisafe inc – DeRidder, Louisiana

AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, La. The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly physical environment on AMERISAFE’s main campus, to include workspaces, offices, restrooms, break rooms, windows, furniture, trash collection and disposal and any other related duties to promote a healthy and clean environment for all.

Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report. A 10-panel drug test includes amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine metabolite (BZE), marijuana metabolite (THCA), methadone, methaqualone, codeine/morphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene. Note - All positions that require driving for the company are considered safety-sensitive positions.

Qualifications:

• Must be willing to work 3 hours per night between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM
• Knowledge of basic cleaning products, supplies and methods used in an office environment
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a team-oriented environment to accomplish daily tasks in an allotted time
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to reach, stretch, bend, walk and stand with ease during daily shifts
• Foster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service

Responsibilities:

• Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and spot-cleaning of all floors throughout the facility
• Perform dusting, disinfecting and polishing of surfaces and furniture
• Cleaning of interior windows in conference rooms, offices, etc., as requested
• Daily trash removal from workspaces, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms daily
• Restock paper supplies in conference rooms, break rooms and restrooms as needed
• Report needed repairs, replacements or other unexpected issues to the Facilities Managers as needed
• Cleaning of break room refrigerators, as requested
• Deep cleaning of floors, workspaces, etc., as requested
• Other related duties as assigned
