Job Title: Director of Sales & Marketing

Reports to: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Scope: The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and business strategies. They would also manage and oversee the sales operations in an organization. Duties would include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients and evaluating costs to determine their products’ pricing when selling to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.
  • Creates an environment of accountability through leadership and management practices utilizing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
  • Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.
  • Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
  • Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Identify and pursue new business through prospecting calls, visits, site tours, lunches, and networking events.
  • Prepares annual marketing/business and budget plans.
  • Responsible for making high-level decisions regarding advertising campaigns.
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations and clinical team members to achieve occupancy targets.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic marketing plan to include the following: social media, referral source development, community outreach, internal marketing, advertising, public relations, events, and reputation management.
  • Analyze sales numbers in comparison to the marketing budget to find the profit margin and which campaigns were most effective.
  • Work closely with the Director of Resident Experience to create, manage and host community events.
  • Develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current ones.
  • Complete move in paperwork with new residents.
  • Collaborate with other executives to make high-level decisions regarding the budget and the direction of the company.
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts new residents.
  • Develop marketing strategies for new products or services that comply with current company standards.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office Manager to hire and onboard staff.
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market.
  • Continuously staying up to date on trends, new ideas and opportunities for company campaigns.
  • Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • Expert level marketing strategy and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative skills to accept and incorporate ideas into strategies.
  • Ability to recognize trends and stay ahead of them.
  • Proficient with design software.
  • Problem solver and excellent communicator.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, focus on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and reliable transportation for outreach and networking activities.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Understanding of how to position products against competitors.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Walk/Stand/Sitting – must be able to continuously perform duties that incorporate walking, standing, or sitting.
  • Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
  • Lift - constantly 0 – 10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Carry - constantly 0 – 10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Push - constantly 0 – 10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Climb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
  • Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis, may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Reach - may occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
  • Sensory Vision – must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses.
  • Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells, and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.
  • Speech/Language – must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret medical and administration information.
