This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and insurance operations, supporting the claims organization through high-quality reporting and actionable insights. You will play a key part in understanding and improving the financial and operational performance of claims processes, including expense management, revenue streams, and efficiency metrics. Working in a data-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with claims, actuarial, accounting, and analytics teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting. The position is highly analytical, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear business recommendations. You will also contribute to the development of financial models and forecasting tools that enhance decision-making. - Own monthly and quarterly reporting for claims performance, including expense analysis, efficiency metrics, and revenue components such as TPA fees, recoveries, subrogation, and salvage.
- Partner with claims, accounting, actuarial, and data teams to collect, validate, and interpret key operational and financial data.
- Analyze trends in claims cycle times, processing efficiency, and cost structures to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve forecasting and reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and data-driven improvements across claims operations.
- Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and timeliness for all monthly and quarterly deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or a related role, ideally within insurance or claims finance.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools for financial reporting and analysis.
- Solid understanding of P&L structures, including expense tracking, revenue analysis, and profitability assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet reporting deadlines.
