Registered Nurse - Pre-Admit Testing at Thibodaux Regional Health System – Thibodaux, Louisiana

The Pre-Anesthesia Testing Registered Nurse (PAT RN) is responsible for assessing, educating, and preparing patients for anesthesia and surgical procedures.

The PAT RN conducts comprehensive preoperative evaluations, coordinates required testing and consultations, identifies potential perioperative risks, and collaborates with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Previous Experience:

Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience
1. Previous experience in perioperative nursing, PACU, ICU, ER, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
2. Pre-admission testing or anesthesia experience strongly preferred
3. Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana is required.
