Statement of Purpose

Performs Echocardiography and diagnostic Ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Prepares, operates and maintains equipment. Prepares patient room and maintains adequate supplies and medications.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate for the position of Cardiac/Ultrasonographer at North Country Hospital will: · be ARDMS registered or registry eligible in Echocardiography,

· be ARDMS registered or registry eligible in at least one other modality, i.e.Abdominal, Obstetrical, Pelvic and/or Vascular,

· be capable of working without supervision and within the guidelines established by the department manager,

· be a mature, responsible individual whose references indicate high medical, ethical standards,

· have good oral and written communication skills.

Consideration will be given to individuals who are registry eligible and have completed an AMA approved program in Echocardiography and Diagnostic Ultrasound or at a minimum completed 12 months of on-the-job sonographic experience.
