Loader Operator in Norton, Ohio at Mack Industries Group

Mack Industries is looking to add a Loader Operator to our growing company. In this year-round position one will work as part of the Ready-Mix yard team supplying the batch plant with materials and assisting within the yard as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Load batch plants with raw materials safely and efficiently
• Operate loader equipment in accordance with all plant and safety procedures
• Perform general yard maintenance and cleanup
• Strip precast concrete blocks and load them onto flatbed trailers
• Transport materials safely throughout the yard and plant
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment, including removal of concrete buildup from interior and exterior surfaces
• Follow all company PPE requirements, including hard hats, safety vests, safety toe boots, and safety glasses
• Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and federal/state regulations
• Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility with schedule or shift changes when needed
• Assist in other plant or yard duties as assigned

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of construction site safety, concrete material handling, and basic equipment maintenance preferred

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating loaders in a concrete, asphalt, or similar industrial environment preferred

Environment Condition and Physical Strain:

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., on occasion
• This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day
