Overview
The Senior Logistics Systems Analyst is a key member of Lutron’s Shared Services organization based in Cartago, Costa Rica. This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing mission-critical logistics systems, including SAP ERP, ShipERP, and Transportation Management Systems (Infios TM).
This individual serves as a vital link between IT and logistics operations, ensuring system stability, performance, and alignment with business goals. The Analyst takes ownership of system configuration, issue resolution, and enhancement delivery while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
The role requires a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, increase automation, and improve data accuracy across logistics functions. Success in this position depends on strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and support Lutron’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for logistics systems, including troubleshooting systemic issues, resolving incidents, and managing enhancements.
- Analyze logistics processes and system requirements to design, configure, test, and implement effective system solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize system configurations, workflows, interfaces, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with IT, GPO, logistics, transportation (carriers), and warehouse operations teams to integrate and enhance logistics software and tools.
- Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and integrations to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support system upgrades, patches, testing cycles, and change management activities.
- Ensure systems and processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Assist with user training, issue escalation, and ongoing support for business users.
- Participate in projects related to system implementations, enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as project manager of any kind of logistics initiative that requires systems and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience and at least 3 of those supporting logistics, transportation, or supply chain systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Transportation Management Systems (ShipERP & Infios TM preferred)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with system configuration, integrations, and workflow design.
- Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EDI, API integrations, or middleware tools.
- Knowledge of logistics processes including order management, shipping, freight rating, carrier selection, and invoicing.
- Experience in automation, reporting, or data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or project management methodologies.
