This role is an exciting opportunity for a data operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments. You will oversee the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of large-scale data management operations, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality data to internal and external stakeholders. Working across modern data ecosystems, you will guide teams responsible for ETL workflows, system integrations, operational monitoring, and data governance initiatives. The position combines technical leadership, operational strategy, and people management, offering the chance to influence enterprise-wide data practices and business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to align technical capabilities with organizational goals while fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence. This is a remote leadership role designed for professionals who enjoy balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and oversee daily data operations, including ETL pipelines, integrations, data workflows, and operational monitoring activities.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, compliance, security, and timely delivery across all operational processes and stakeholder interactions.
  • Define and implement scalable data management policies, governance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives by translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions and operational plans.
  • Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive action strategies to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Monitor KPIs, operational metrics, and reporting processes while presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, vendors, and risk mitigation activities across multiple operational initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for operational optimization and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and operational workflows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Data Operations, IT Operations, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data operations, IT operations, or similar technical environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams, projects, or operational initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in data pipelines, ETL processes, database systems, and data integration technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, orchestration frameworks, and ETL solutions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems, logging platforms, incident management processes, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS SQL, JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams and global operations.
  • Healthcare industry experience is considered a plus.
