Position Summary
The Lab Coordinator supports GMP laboratory activities by coordinating analytical testing status, maintaining Excel based tracking systems, and communicating progress to support timely batch release.
This role works closely with QC chemists and cross functional teams to ensure accurate tracking of testing activities, proactive escalation of delays, and timely issuance of Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) following Data Integrity review.
Key Responsibilities
• Track and maintain testing status for all testing performed in the laboratory
• Compile updates from QC chemists and manage Excel based tracking tools
• Identify and proactively communicate risks or delays impacting batch release
• Coordinate with laboratory personnel to ensure timely completion of testing
• Generate and issue CoAs following Data Integrity review
• Ensure CoAs accurately reflect approved laboratory results
• Maintain organized, inspection-ready tracking documentation
• Support GMP compliance and data integrity practices (ALCOA+)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (Associate degree with relevant experience considered)
• 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP environment preferred
• Basic understanding of laboratory testing workflows (e.g., HPLC, wet chemistry)
Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
• Office based role with frequent interaction in a GMP QC laboratory
• Non-testing role focused on coordination
The role offers a general compensation range between $52,000-60,000 per annum. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
