Material Handler at Good Earth Tools – Festsu, Missouri

Position Overview:

Good Earth Tools is looking for a high energy, self-motivated individual to join our Ballast Tools Equipment (BTE) division as a Material Hander. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to adjust to changing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Unload and store incoming materials and products
• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
• Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory
• Prepare component products for assembly by identifying their location, then pulling, organizing, and delivering them to the appropriate work cell
• Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move product
• Perform and report cycle counts
• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prefer a minimum of one year of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; previous experience in operating material handling equipment required
• Must have the ability to obtain forklift certification upon hire
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance is required
• Must have the ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
• Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record; Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, grasp, climb, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job
• Must also be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The following should be expected to be encountered: long periods of standing, frequent lifting, pushing and pulling, noise within the plant
