Position Summary

  • Setup of Buffet every morning.
  • Operate the dishwasher. Load dirty dishes and unload and store clean dishes.
  • Clean and maintain buffet line always stocked.
  • Control quality and consistency of all food served
  • Ensure that station or relevant prep list is set in a timely manner
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, food preparation checklist and number of covers to be served.
  • Demonstrate safe and competent use of all tools: knives, pots, pans, stoves, ovens, steamers, etc.
  • Always keep work area clean
  • Lifts bus tubs to bus carts and pushes carts to the Kitchen.
  • Cleans food serving areas, including counters, utensils, and food trays.
  • Must be able to maintain the proper level of sanitation in accordance with health dept. and Stewarding standards in all kitchen outlets.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen through serving periods and after closing.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
    • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required,
    • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Six months previous kitchen worker experience is required
    • Safe food handler certification, preferred.
    • Available to work a flexible schedule which includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
