ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to support all manufacturing operations within a regulated production environment. This role is responsible for performing basic to intermediate equipment set-up, preventive maintenance, and calibration tasks, as well as rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

The ideal candidate brings a manufacturing background, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. This role may also contribute to developing or modifying manufacturing procedures and supports experiments conducted by engineering teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety & Compliance: Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations, including QSR and ISO Standards. Identify and support the implementation of corrective actions for manufacturing-related safety and quality issues.
  • Equipment Setup & Maintenance: Perform basic to intermediate equipment setup, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and calibration tasks as required to ensure reliable production operations.
  • Validation & Process Support: Support installation and validation of equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and reduce cycle time, following established validation procedures.
  • Operational Adjustments & Documentation: Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Assist in the development or revision of manufacturing documents and procedures as needed.
  • Training & Certification Support: May certify manufacturing associates in non-critical production processes. Evaluate and order necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures, and perform basic tool qualifications to support production activities.
  • Investigations & Issue Resolution: Lead or support investigations of out-of-tolerance events on the production floor, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions in alignment with quality standards.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Associate Technical Degree (e.g., Instrumentation, Electronics, Electromechanics) and 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work different shifts, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
  • Strong attitude, eagerness to learn new skills, and commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred

  • Background in manufacturing environments, preferably in regulated industries.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry.
  • Basic knowledge in PLCs, vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to exchange technical information clearly and concisely with internal stakeholders.
