Laborer in Zellwood, Florida at CORPORATE COVERAGE COMPANY

Description

The Laborer position will perform various tasks throughout the processing facility and building grounds. In addition, this position will also be required to learn how to operate a forklift, bucket wheel loader, two-ram baler and move trailers in the yard with a yard truck. Previous material handling equipment experience is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty assigned satisfactorily.
• Forklift operation
• Wheel Loader operation
• Baler operation
• Move trailers in the yard.
• Load outbound baled corrugated and paper loads Unload inbound customer loads, baled and loose strapped to pallets.
• Yard work such as lawn mowing and weed maintenance.
• Preventative equipment maintenance daily Recognize non-recyclables and separate from paper flow prior to baling.
• Grade and tally inbound loads

Qualifications

• Preferred previous work experience in the mechanical or industrial environment.
• Waste Management and/or recycling experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Material handling equipment experience a plus but we will train the right person.
• Work Environment:
• Will be exposed to an environment which involves dirt, dust, noise or similar elements most of the workday.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to climb stairs, steps into or onto equipment.
• Bend, stoop or stand for long periods of time.
• Reach above shoulders and list a minimum of 50 lbs.
