JOB SUMMARY
- Assures high quality, evidence-based rehabilitation neuropsychological assessment and treatment services to Good Shepherd patients and families, enhances transdisciplinary care delivery, maximizes collaboration with community organizations and academic institutions leading to growth and expansion opportunities. Implements and maintains processes that maximize ability to meet productivity and budget goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Staff recruitment and retention
- Maintains appropriate and adequate staffing ratios
- In collaboration with HR and Good Shepherd Leadership - onboards new staff
- Communicates job expectations and provides routine performance evaluations, mentoring and coaching
- Facilitates communication with, and integration of, Good Shepherd Psychology Group with larger Good Shepherd organizations
- Executes disciplinary processes when needed
- Enforces Good Shepherd and Good Shepherd Psychology Group policies, procedures, productivity standards
- Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment
- Assures quality care delivery.
- Promotes continuous learning for clinical staff, focused on maintaining competency in current evidence-based assessment and treatment modalities.
- Promotes continuous learning for administrative staff, focused on maintaining competency in current regulatory and 3rd party payer policies, as well as in office administration, high-quality customer service.
- Assures all documentation meets professional, regulatory (including Commonwealth of PA and third-party payer regulations), Good Shepherd, and Good Shepherd Psychology Group standards.
- Develops/maintains system of objective outcome assessment.

Financial management
- Forecasts business and clinical requirements
- Prepares and manages annual budget
- Analyzes operational variances
- Develops and implements corrective measures as indicated
- Maximizes operational efficiency and productivity

Staff recruitment and retention

CLINICAL EXPERTISE
- Diagnoses, treats and documents per Good Shepherd standards of care.
- Provides clinical supervision to staff and trainees to assure consistent high-quality service provision across Good Shepherd continuum of care (all settings, all ages, all diagnoses).

TRAINEE OVERSIGHT

Supports Good Shepherd Psychology Group Training Director to recruit and retain qualified trainees, following all applicable PA, APA, APPIC, and Pendeldot (regional training consortium) regulations.
- Assigns trainees and volunteers to staff supervisors consistent with licensure and training requirements.
- Monitors clinical experiences and provide written feedback to trainees and trainee institutions.
- Develops/maintains collegial relationships with accredited institutions.

Supports Good Shepherd Psychology Group Training Director to recruit and retain qualified trainees, following all applicable PA, APA, APPIC, and Pendeldot (regional training consortium) regulations.

- Coordinates and/or provides learning experiences for professional development of staff
- Reviews professional publications
- Benchmarks state-of-the-art practices
- Participates in professional societies / organizations

- Demonstrates flexibility to help others (IE provides coverage at other sites, adjusts work schedule to meet needs, assists others to cover patients)

Education
- Doctorate's Degree in clinically relevant field of Psychology required

Work Experience
- Minimum 7 years of practice in rehabilitation neuropsychology settings required.
- 3 years of previous supervisory experience required

Licenses / Certifications
- Licensure (or license-eligible) for the practice of Psychology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Board certification (or board-eligible) in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology preferred.
