Director, Buyer Growth Partnerships & Referral

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Buyer Growth Partnerships & Referral based in the United States.

This senior leadership role is responsible for building and scaling the partnerships and referral engine that drives qualified software buyers across a major multi-brand marketplace ecosystem. You will design and execute a high-impact growth strategy spanning affiliate programs, media partnerships, ecosystem integrations, and emerging AI-driven buyer discovery channels. The role sits at the intersection of business development and growth marketing, requiring both strategic vision and strong operational execution. You will define the partnership portfolio, structure commercial agreements, and ensure each channel delivers measurable traffic and revenue impact. Working across multiple global brands, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, performance marketing, and analytics teams to build scalable acquisition systems. This is a highly visible role with direct influence on buyer growth, revenue diversification, and long-term marketplace expansion.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and own the referral and partnerships strategy, including OKRs for buyer traffic, qualified leads, revenue contribution, and channel diversification across multiple brands.
  • Design and manage a diversified partnership portfolio spanning affiliates, media partners, ecosystem integrations, content communities, and emerging AI-based discovery channels.
  • Source, negotiate, and execute partnership agreements across various commercial models including CPA, rev-share, rate-card media buys, and strategic integrations.
  • Build and scale the operational infrastructure for partnerships, including onboarding systems, attribution frameworks, tracking tools, and partner enablement resources.
  • Establish performance dashboards and reporting cadences to monitor partner impact, optimize ROI, and guide investment decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and revenue teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with growth objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends in affiliate marketing, ecosystem growth, and AI-driven discovery to evolve partnership strategies.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in growth, partnerships, business development, or marketing within B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or media environments.
  • Proven success building and scaling partnership or referral programs that drive significant traffic or revenue impact.
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics, including CPA, LTV, attribution models, and media buying economics.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including affiliate, media, and strategic partnership contracts.
  • Ability to operate across technical and business stakeholders, with enough technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building dashboards, defining KPIs, and using data to drive investment decisions.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence both internal leadership and external partners.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to design, launch, and iterate on new growth programs independently.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation with equity participation in a high-growth, multi-brand organization.
  • Remote-first flexibility with the ability to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Generous paid time off and flexible work policies supporting work-life balance.
  • Home office support and technology stipend.
  • Professional development budget for training, conferences, and learning programs.
  • Opportunity to shape a major growth channel at the intersection of AI, marketplaces, and SaaS discovery.
  • Inclusive, values-driven culture focused on collaboration, impact, and continuous learning.
