DUTIES

.An ability to teach 7 of the following courses annually (640 hours of instruction):

  • WTTP 1730, Mechanical Systems & Wastewater Distribution
  • WTTP 1800, Applied Electrical
  • WTTP 1820, 2820, Instrumentation 1 & II
  • WTTP 1850, Water Treatment II
  • WTTP 1830, Mechanical Systems II & Energy Management
  • WTTP 2710, Water Chemistry
  • WTTP 2830, Management & Leadership Skills
  • WTTP 2800, Microbiology and Toxicology
  • WTTP 2730, Filtration
  • WTTP 1860, 2760, Wastewater Utility 1 & II
  • WTTP 2740, Disinfection
  • WTTP 2720, Advanced Coagulation & Particle Removal
  • WTTP 2860, Industrial Wastewater Pollution & Treatment
  • WTTP 2840 Source Water Protection & Management
QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants with advanced education or exemplary experience in Water and Wastewater Treatment operation, public health and protection of the environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent in a closely related discipline
  • The ability to develop and teach undergraduate courses (theory and laboratory practice)
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian water and wastewater systems, operations and legislation.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • A commitment to honouring Truth, Reconciliation and Rights in PSE
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and learning management systems.

Assets:

  • Masters Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent in a closely related discipline
  • Prior post-secondary education (PSE) -level teaching experience in related discipline
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Work experience and connections to Industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.
Pay Band
$73,665.93 - $114,124.39 ( According to TRUFA Salary Schedule (Range TS01 - TS12) )
