This is an opportunity to contribute directly to large-scale healthcare modernization programs with real-world impact across the province.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage full project lifecycles from initiation through delivery and closure, ensuring alignment with organizational and healthcare system objectives.
  • Oversee project governance activities, including executive reporting, steering committee coordination, and performance tracking.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, maintaining risk registers and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across clinical, technical, operational, and external partner groups to ensure alignment and consensus.
  • Support change management activities, ensuring successful adoption and transition of digital health solutions into operations.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate resources across multiple workstreams in a matrixed environment.
  • Support delivery of healthcare IT and digital health initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of technology solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, including large-scale and complex initiatives.
  • Strong experience in project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Digital Health or Healthcare IT project experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, cloud environments, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards and systems (e.g., HL7, healthcare integrations) is an asset.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior and clinical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Jira/Confluence (preferred).
Benefits:
  • Competitive contract compensation
  • Fully remote work within Canada (with Newfoundland Time alignment)
  • Long-term engagement with initial term through March 2027 and possible extension
  • Opportunity to contribute to large-scale provincial healthcare transformation initiatives
  • Exposure to complex healthcare IT environments and enterprise digital health programs
  • Collaborative, cross-functional stakeholder environment
  • Chance to directly impact healthcare delivery and patient outcomes
  • Work on high-visibility public sector digital modernization projects.
