This is a high-impact leadership role operating at the intersection of strategy, program execution, and organizational growth, supporting the Chief Growth and Impact Officer in shaping and delivering a global impact agenda. The position plays a critical role in translating strategic vision into coordinated action across regions spanning the Americas, Africa, and Asia. You will act as a key integrator across functions, ensuring alignment between programs, development, and funding priorities. The role requires a strong ability to synthesize complexity, drive clarity, and enable execution across diverse and geographically distributed teams. It is both strategic and operational, combining advisory responsibilities with hands-on execution support. You will help identify risks and opportunities early, while strengthening collaboration across the organization. This is an opportunity to influence how global initiatives are designed, funded, and delivered for real-world impact.
- Partner closely with the Chief Growth and Impact Officer to define priorities, develop strategic plans, and ensure execution against organizational goals.
- Act as Chief of Staff by coordinating cross-functional initiatives, identifying risks and bottlenecks, and proactively recommending solutions.
- Drive alignment across global and regional teams, ensuring consistent execution and breaking down silos between departments.
- Translate strategic direction into actionable workplans, governance structures, and accountability frameworks across geographies.
- Lead integration between programmatic and development functions, ensuring funding strategies align with program priorities.
- Support donor engagement efforts by preparing briefings, strategic messaging, and funding narratives.
- Oversee elements of organizational leadership including mentoring, supervision, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Master’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience, including at least 10 years in senior cross-functional leadership, strategy, or operational roles.
- Proven experience in a Chief of Staff, Deputy Director, or equivalent integrative leadership role in complex, multi-regional organizations.
- Strong background working across international contexts, ideally across the Americas, Africa, and/or Asia within NGOs or sustainability-focused environments.
- Experience connecting program strategy with funding and donor engagement cycles in resource-driven environments.
- Strong systems thinking, strategic synthesis, and ability to manage complexity across diverse stakeholders.
- Key strengths in transformational leadership, collaboration, political acumen, adaptability, and relationship-building across cultures.
- Familiarity with sustainable development issues and commitment to environmental and social impact objectives, including working with producer and community-based stakeholders.
- Competitive salary range depending on location:
- Netherlands: €88,452 – €137,917
- UK: £65,989 – £113,123
- US: $106,322 – $182,265
- New York: $115,796 – $198,507
