Schedule: Monday- Wednesday 7 hours a day
Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 hours a day

General Description
The Program Assistant will be directly responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee whose purpose is to strengthen collaboration and increase capacity building among communities and reduce substance abuse among youth and adults.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees specific project implementation of the Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee’s activities including but not limited to membership, recruitment, orientation, tracking of each and leadership nominations.
- Collects and analyze monthly data to inform community of the committee’s accomplishments, concerns, needs and project outcomes; prepare reports and share best practices with multi-sector stakeholders..
- Engages multi-sector partners from health care, public health, health insurers, community-based organizations, local/state government, education, nonprofit, business, and more to the work of the Committee.
- Assists the Chair and Co-Chair in facilitating the Opioid Committee and/or any subcommittees meetings created under the Opioid Committee.
- Attends meetings of the organizations and coalitions related to the mission and goals of the Opioid Committee.
- Manages project timelines, activities, documentation, and deliverables while maintaining alignment with multi-sector partner objectives and grant / project workplan requirements.
- Prepares to include room location, room arrangement and equipment set up of committee meetings specific to the Opioid Committee.
- Coordinates Community Meetings, Forums, Health Fairs and Table Events to increase community awareness of and promote the Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee and its mission.
- Assists with social media efforts to include Facebook, Newsletter and Coalition Website by submitting information and documentation monthly to the Coalition Program Coordinator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in health or related field; is strongly desired.
Credential: Clean and Valid NY State Driver License
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience and a passion for public health, prevention strategies, social determinants of health, and/or community-based health projects that seek to build alignment amongst multi-sector organizations in a collaborative, team-oriented style. Experience creating and managing work plans and time-sensitive deliverables and deadlines. Relevant combination of years of experience and education will be considered

- Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation Demonstrate ethical business practices, in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, plan, and complete work projects with minimal direction
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal/written skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution
- Ability to work in the following software programs: Windows, Microsoft Office, and multiple online software platforms as required by funders and partner organizations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information with discretion
- Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.
- Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
- Ability to demonstrate behaviors and attitudes which support organizational mission, philosophy, and policies
- Ability to work in a cooperative and helpful manner with all individuals
- Willingness and ability to foster agency and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques
