Job Description
The HR Assistant supports the HR Director and Operations Team with employee support, hiring, onboarding, attendance tracking, communication, and day-to-day administrative tasks. This is a full-time onsite role supporting operations at two warehouse locations in Northwest Dallas and Denton.
This role serves as a key point of contact for hourly employees and must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Requirements:Employee Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, attendance, onboarding, payroll, and benefits
- Communicate with employees in both English and Spanish
- Assist with employee relations matters and direct issues to HR leadership when needed
- Help maintain employee files and HR records
Hiring and Onboarding
- Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating hiring activities
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation
- Help complete Form I-9 and E-Verify processes
- Assist employees with Paylocity onboarding tasks and required paperwork
- Prepare onboarding materials and employee communications
Attendance and HR Administration
- Monitor attendance reports, call-ins, and employee documentation
- Maintain HR spreadsheets, trackers, and reports
- Assist with payroll-related communication and timekeeping follow-up
- Support preparation of employee notices, memos, and policy acknowledgements
- Translate HR documents and communications between English and Spanish
General Support
- Travel occasionally between Northwest Dallas and Denton locations based on business needs
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Support HR projects and employee engagement activities
- Assist with audits, compliance, and recordkeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- 1 to 2 years of HR or recruiting experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and systems such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or HRIS platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or hourly workforce environment
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HR/payroll systems
- Experience translating workplace communication between English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
- Ability to occasionally move throughout warehouse and office areas
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
Schedule
- Full-time onsite position
- Initial schedule will be Monday through Friday during the training period
- Once fully trained, the schedule will transition to Tuesday through Saturday to support operational needs
- Must be available to occasionally travel between locations based on business needs
Work Environment
This position works in both office and warehouse environments. The warehouse environment may include varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and frequent interaction with hourly employees and operational leaders.
