Marketing Assistant Job Description Position Summary The Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the execution of all marketing campaigns with high quality, accuracy, and timeliness. This role requires a solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals and the ability to operate across our key alwayson channels, including email marketing, web content updates, social media, webinars, and CRM/HubSpot. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detailoriented, and comfortable working in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Campaign & Content Execution
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, brand collateral, and content marketing initiatives (weekly news alerts, monthly webinars, website blogs). Ensure consistent brand delivery by following established processes, message frameworks, visual guidelines, and approved terminology. Coordinate the creation of marketing collateral, merchandise, promotional materials, and sales support assets. Support the centralized marketing calendar by helping produce spotlight articles, social media content, email campaigns, and industry white papers.
Digital Marketing & Website Support
Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist and external web agency to update and optimize website content. Post and maintain web content using the CMS (preferably WordPress). Support demand generation efforts by aligning marketing activities with the strategic events calendar.
Research, Reporting & Analytics
Summarize marketing performance scorecards and track key metrics. Conduct desktop competitive research and prepare concise reports. Provide background research for marketing initiatives and programs (e.g., Teachers Initiative).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Marketing Specialist and CMO to support growth objectives through content marketing and demand generation strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of campaigns.
Qualifications Education
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
Experience
12 years of experience in marketing, consulting, or agency environments. Experience in B2B marketing is preferred. Experience in market research and analytics. Graphic design experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience using CMS platforms (WordPress preferred). Strong content marketing understanding across social media, blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills. Basic project management experience is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Goal-driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
Non-Negotiables
High English language proficiency. Work schedule: 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time. Experience with HubSpot or another CRM platform.
