Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist
Department: Human Resources
Employment Type: Full-Time, ExemptThe Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in strengthening workplace culture, supporting employee morale, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices. This position partners with leadership and employees to foster a positive work environment while supporting employee engagement, workforce development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a trusted partner who can balance employee advocacy with business objectives while helping drive a culture of continuous improvement.The Employee Relations Specialist will:
- Lead the interpretation and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures across the organization
- Support and strengthen employee relations initiatives while promoting a positive workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, and company policies
- Stay informed on current employment laws, workplace regulations, and employee relations best practices
- Analyze workforce trends such as absenteeism, leave administration, productivity, safety, and policy consistency to identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner with leadership to develop and coordinate programs that enhance employee morale, engagement, and workforce involvement
- Recommend and support employee training, leadership development, and management coaching initiatives
- Lead internal investigations and audits related to employment practices, workplace concerns, and policy compliance
- Support employment-related determinations in alignment with company policies and applicable laws
- Represent the organization positively through community involvement and professional networking opportunities
- Maintain regular communication and consultation with headquarters as needed
- Support the Company’s health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures
- Effectively prioritize responsibilities, with a strong focus on workforce development and morale enhancement
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs

Human Resources Expertise
Knowledge of employee relations, talent management, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, personnel systems, and organizational development.
Business & Leadership Knowledge
Understanding of strategic planning, workforce development, leadership practices, resource allocation, and organizational effectiveness.
Employment Law Knowledge
Knowledge of employment laws, workplace regulations, compliance standards, and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively coach, guide, and influence employees and leaders at all levels.

Preferred Areas of Study:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, or a related field
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred
- Several years of progressive Human Resources experience required
- 2+ years of ADP experience preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
- Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments and may require:
- Frequent movement throughout office spaces and production areas
- Occasional stair use within the manufacturing facility
- Remaining stationary for portions of the workday
- Regular computer and office equipment use
- Filing and document management requiring reaching and positioning
- Occasional lifting or moving of office materials up to 25 pounds
