This is a senior technical leadership role focused on shaping and scaling a mission-critical cloud platform that supports millions of global users. You will define the long-term vision for cloud infrastructure, reliability, and developer experience across a highly distributed engineering organization. Acting as a key architectural authority, you will guide strategic decisions around AWS infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and platform scalability.
The role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and business impact, ensuring systems remain secure, observable, and resilient at scale.
You will collaborate closely with senior engineering leaders to set standards for operational excellence and incident response.
A strong focus is placed on improving developer velocity through self-service tooling and platform automation.
This position is ideal for a deeply experienced infrastructure leader who thrives in high-scale, high-responsibility environments and enjoys influencing across teams without direct ownership boundaries.
In this role, you will define and drive the technical direction of cloud infrastructure and DevOps strategy, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational maturity across engineering teams.
- Define the long-term cloud and infrastructure architecture strategy, including AWS platform evolution, scalability planning, and risk mitigation.
- Establish and enforce organization-wide standards for reliability engineering, observability, incident management, and SRE practices (SLOs/SLIs).
- Lead DevOps and platform strategy for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and self-service provisioning frameworks.
- Identify systemic risks across infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud operations, and proactively drive mitigation strategies.
- Partner with engineering, product, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable platform solutions.
- Own and evolve the developer experience roadmap to reduce operational friction and improve engineering velocity.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers, promoting best practices in architecture, documentation, and operational excellence.
This role requires a seasoned infrastructure leader with deep cloud expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to influence engineering direction at scale.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering with significant technical leadership impact.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, and security architecture.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, including module design and platform-level governance.
- Deep experience in reliability engineering, including SLO/SLI frameworks, observability systems, and incident lifecycle management.
- Proven track record of designing and scaling CI/CD systems and DevOps practices across large engineering organizations.
- Ability to define multi-year infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business and technical priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Experience mentoring and guiding senior/staff engineers in high-scale environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Competitive base salary aligned with experience and U.S. market benchmarks
- Equity/stock-based compensation
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
- Flexible remote-first work environment within the United States
- Generous paid time off and company holidays
- Retirement savings plan with employer contribution (e.g., 401(k) match)
- Wellness, mental health, and employee assistance programs
- Learning and development resources to support continuous growth
- Inclusive, mission-driven engineering culture focused on impact and reliability.
