This role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for shaping, architecting, and delivering advanced digital engineering capabilities across large-scale defense and government programs.
You will drive the design and implementation of model-based engineering solutions that integrate software, systems engineering, cloud technologies, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.
The position blends strategic leadership with hands-on architectural depth, ensuring solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with mission-critical objectives.
You will collaborate with cross-functional technology leaders to unify digital engineering approaches across multiple domains and delivery teams.
A key focus of the role is advancing innovation through research-driven use cases and the adoption of cutting-edge engineering tools and platforms.
You will also lead and mentor teams of architects and engineers, guiding both technical execution and long-term capability development.

- Lead the architecture and delivery of end-to-end digital engineering solutions across defense and government programs, ensuring alignment with mission and technical requirements.
- Develop and implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches using frameworks such as UML, SysML, DoDAF, UAF, and BPMN.
- Drive integration of advanced technologies including cloud computing, AI/ML, software engineering, and AIOps into cohesive solution architectures.
- Oversee the technical accuracy and quality of digital engineering deliverables across active programs and engagements.
- Guide research and development initiatives, translating emerging technologies into scalable, production-ready engineering solutions.
- Manage, mentor, and grow teams of architects, engineers, and developers, providing technical leadership and career development support.
- Evaluate and promote adoption of new digital engineering tools and platforms to maintain technological competitiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (software, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
- 10+ years of experience designing and delivering engineering solutions in large-scale enterprise or defense environments.
- Deep expertise in model-based systems engineering, including strong command of UML, SysML, UAF, DoDAF, and BPMN frameworks.
- Proven ability to design end-to-end system architectures spanning conceptual, logical, and physical modeling layers.
- Strong background in modern software engineering, cloud technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading and scaling technical teams in complex, mission-driven environments.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly to executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Competitive salary range: $191,250 – $258,750 annually (based on experience, location, and contractual factors).
